vhgmcbuddyKeymasterHi Gregg, so sorry for the late reply!! Haha 3 kids and my life is busy! It is nearly complete now and looking great! Thanks to Charlie I have the original decal in place on the mill shroud and I have had new nameplates made. I managed to source new tyres as well which was the most difficult part! The original wheels were past it so I have had new aluminium ones cast up. I just have the cables to go and it’s all done!

vhgmcbuddyKeymasterThanks Charlie,
Well today’s events have found that is actually a gx and not an L, Jim has kindly managed to date it to roughly somewhere between August-september 1946.
Iv had a spark and a pop this afternoon but now the spark has vanished so it’s off with the flywheel for a mag rebuild.
After years of exhibiting stationary engines the plan is to have this ready for the eastern counties show at Norwich showground in march, fingers crossed.Cheers,

vhgmcbuddyKeymasterHi Charlie I have looked on the plate and it’s a villiers 12/2 the number seems to be 937d 090 I will forward a photo soon but it looks the same as the tipper with logs in it under the Wrigley section only with less paint and a little rust not sure of the original colour thanks for your prompt reply. vhgmcbuddyKeymasterthanks for thinking along: looked at that, but No, it’s not like any ordinairy oil seal: Both axle and outerpart are actually rotating with the same speed, but the outer part is tilted and ‘wiggles’around too. A lot like a CV-joint (homokinetic joint) or a Rzeppa joint. the seal acts like a bellow.
Honda patented … special part, NOK AZ7882E … and google isn’t my friend this time (tried that of course).January 23, 2019 at 6:14 pm #30154
