Hi Phil,
two of them yes, managed to get all three together showing three variations after an initial ….. well, bad arrangement, but all was well in the end, for visitors too.
Proudly they all received massive interest throughout. All came on the same lorry and I enjoyed the show as a spectator for the first time in 6 or seven years!.
The catering manager needs to try to run his own business I’d suggest, People will not pay.
Still their loss & moans to ignore, but otherwise a truly good show on the whole. Look out for a ‘special’ President arrangement next year Phil! You’ll know it’s me then!

I use a soft brick to clean up the very rusty ones here, other than that the best thing is to find a sandy place and plow away at it. I always carry a small putty knife, to clean off the stuck on places. After plowing we spray the shiny parts with Slip-Plate, as the grease draws to much dirt/dust and is messy to handle.

Titch, are the Presidents all yours? If so, I spoke to you as you were putting them in place. If I had known, I would have introduced myself.

The prices charged by the caterers at Newark are high, I have complained to the Catering manager but all he says is ” People pay”. On Saturday night, 20 of us stewards went off-site to a local restaurant and DID NOT talk tractors. PHIL

what a total surprise I am still bouncing at this end. there where many machines there its the most varied selection I have seen.thanks to all for the comarardary at Newark and look forward to many more gatherings. Could not remember what the lady in the hat was saying to me at all but I am sure when she first spoke, I said hello darling how are ya !

The model I formed the basis for the later Suffolk Iron Foundry mower engines, I have a 1942 one in my shed. Good solid little engines, as were most of the pre 1950’s models. I also have a model B and just handed over an A type to a new owner at Newark, missing it already!

Enjoyed it very much Phil, you all worked hard as usual. Good to have our fencing supplied as well, and a few other’s interested in exhibiting outside next year if there is enough space! We got plenty of public interest as well which was good, never knew my little Cooper-Stewart shearing set could attract so much attention, especially when it refused to start……haha!
