Good to see another Atco Tractor appear, this tractor most definitely comes under rare breed!
Under the heading lost items of the modern world, I know a chap called Mr Wallingfield who owns the brochure and the manual for the Atco Tractor printed in 1932 which was the year of introduction

If you mean the tank is full of rust and rubbish, I cleaned mine out by filling it with acid for the day, totally rust free, the copper gauze filter on mine was damaged so I replaced it with a wad of thick felt, it,s easier to add an in line fuel filter, they are very cheap, and you can see that fuel is getting to the carb.

Hi Jonathan, one thing I meant to ask, do you have or know where I could get a cylinder head gasket from ?? Or can some form of substitute be used ??

Wow what service this is !!!! I will gladly take the offer of the cooling fan and front cover. I do have a Lucas SR1 Magneto which may fit I’m not sure as yet as I have not got that far. Can you let me know cost etc and I will arrange with you. Mob 07974698051

Hi there expeatfarmer,
Many thanks for your reply to my question. At present I need a new cooling cowl complete, a timing chain front cover (cam to mag drive) and possibly a magneto if you have one. I am aiming to remove the engine and primary gear box possibly today and this may reveal yet other parts that require replacing????

Let me know what you have and can do and cost and I will reply asap.

That’s excellent news Charlie. I’m glad it has been saved. I don’t suppose the rest off the engine or fuel tank or any implements were with it ?
It would be great to here of it’s progress if its possible to restore it.
