So there is no reason why the Concorde mower should not be classed as rare.

I have to confess I did think that might be the result, because the cam is on the flywheel. Could the flywheel have been changed at some time, do other similar engines have the can lobe in a different position?

If it is or can be made to run the Hayterette will be a useful machine for someone. The brass tag on the rh side of the ATCO will give cut and year eg 1458

It does look as if they have what appears to be the Mysto logo on them, the catalogue does not give details of make.

Timberjack, if you open the photo you posted that appears cropped you will see it is only the thumbnail that is cropped not the image that opens.

If you are getting some smoke it suggests the spark is making some attempt to burn the fuel. It might be worth fitting a new plug, is the one fitted the correct one and does it have the correct gap? I had a B&S engine with a lovely spark that would not start, a drop offuel down the plug hole and away it went and kept running, now starts with no problem. If it is a fuel issue it may well be a blocked jet in the carb. If it is blow them through with an air line, do not be tempted to poke a bit of wire through to clean them.

Another product that helps counter the gumming and similar E5 issues is Ethomix available from Frost Auto Restoration, FBHVC website lists other products tested by them.

Almost back to where we were when we first started exhibiting at Tractor World. Club stand shoul dhave area for members to sit and chat without blocking public access to stand and exhibits. Maybe club stand should form an enclosed area. 2005 stand below.
