ParticipantThanks for the info guys. Yes, you can alter the settings on my Nikon. Trouble is I keep it set on High Quality all the time and just forgot to change it for these shots. Once taken cannot be changed easily !
I have re-taken on my pocket camera on a lower resolution.

ParticipantYup, I’ll be there.
Can I leave my machines overnight? I live locally but may have to leave early on the Saturday and would prefer not to have to load up etc and bring back on Sunday am.

ParticipantHi Chris,
Thanks, at the moment, the one thing I could really do with is an extra pair of rotor tines. Mine only has two per rotor at present and I would prefer it to have three. Other than that, I am just fishing around to see where I can get parts should I need them.
Robert.

ParticipantThanks Chris. I did an on-line search and have just obtained a 1 litre tin from Agriline.
I will make a note of the other contacts and give them a try. Did have a look at Chester Hudson but couldn’t find any 200 series parts. Might still contact him just in-case.

ParticipantCheck out Merrytiller.co.uk, most spares are available. I fitted a Chinese Honda copy to my Wizard and had to shorten the operating arm on the belt tensioner to avoid it fouling the crankcase. Otherwise, it was straightforward.

ParticipantOf course in the good old days before Health & safety, people were regularly killed or maimed, and as for those contraptions spraying potentially dangerous chemicals for the operator to walk into and breathe in they don’t bear thinking about !!

ParticipantLove the “safety footwear” the lady in the Bulldog advert is sporting. People clearly didn’t value their tootsies in those days !

ParticipantIf your engine is 3.5 or 4HP and the mounting hole centres are 6.4cm apart I think you’ll find the part number you need is 591420. £38.46 from Briggsbits.

ParticipantJoey,
Yes he does, although his online ordering page doesn’t cover shipments outside the US. Ask him for a quote for UK shipment, usually about $9.25.

ParticipantThere’s a chap in Idaho who deals in obsolete B&S parts. His name is Jim Freshman. email:- jim@aircooledengpts.com
I bought a new coil from him that B&S no longer make.
Might be worth a try.

ParticipantGave it its first work-out this morning. Rotovated the last bit of Plot B on our allotment and gave the whole of Plot B a going over again. As you can see from the photos the conditions were less than ideal but, the extra power meant it ploughed its way through without even noticing it and all at a very moderate throttle opening.

ParticipantThanks for the comments chaps !
Mine cost £117.00 delivered ! The sump is empty so, it is up to me to re-fill it. The handbook recommends 10W30. I may fill with a basic SAE30 for the first few hours use and then re-fill with a better quality 10/30. I’ll see what my local mower shop sells.
By the way, the handbook is written in Chinglish so, I have downloaded a copy of the Honda one for better detail.

ParticipantJust to add to the above. By similar, I mean any smallish pedestrian tractor that comes with attachments like a plough, ridger or hoe, possibly something like a Mayfield.

ParticipantThanks guys, there are some useful tips here. The link from Wristpin is especially informative.
Looks like I will definitely have to strip the carb again and pay especial attention to the float height and replace the emulsion tube. A previous owner had bent it (guess how !), I straightened it as best I could but it looks like I should replace it, although replacement cost in the UK is a bit on the high side.
All good fun !

ParticipantThanks for replies.
No Diaphragm in this carb I’m afraid. It’s a float and needle type.
Engine Model 80331, Type 943393, Code 6004250.
Unfortunately, the unit was a non-runner when I got it so I have no previous settings I could fall back on.
I stripped the carb and found previous owner had re-assembled badly so re-built accordingly. I suspect the float height maybe too high but, it could of course be something entirely different. The coil, points and plug etc., are all new.
Robert.
