Memberhave received the gaskits from George at Villiers parts today and have fitted without delay. also treated the machine to a new fuel line . moment of truth, will it start ? yes it works and it only needs two revolutions of the engine to break into life.have spoken to Titch about grafics, and he knows exactly whats needed to complete. also added this video, its short and sweet.

MemberIn the village Nigel! It was owned by my mate Simon who brought it at The Dorset Steam Fair years ago. Its listed on the Merlin Records with Kevin. Its been sat in a shipping container ever since. It was a runner when he got it.
We have been talking about a deal for ages but he wanted far to mutch for it so I left it.
The other week he offered me a better price so I went & loaded it up!!
We should be able to sort an engine.Anybody got a 3 spoke steering wheel????

Member“I suspect if your engine does not start it has lost its spark due to standing / not used for a long time ??.If this is the case then the flywheel will need removing to access to the magneto (contact breakers and condensor). You really need a proper removal tool for this flywheel.Do NOT hit the flywheel or the end of the crankshaft with a hammer in an attempt to remove it !!.I used one of my flywheel removal tools and it was very tight on the taper !!.
The carburettor would need a thorough cleaning too i suspect.Where are you located as i could get it running for you.”I’ve given the carburettor a good cleaning but still not running. When you say that the “flywheel will need removing to access to the magneto (contact breakers and condensor)”….what do you mean I need to do once I acess teh magneto? Sorry to be a pain. Thank you.
