many years ago I went down to Portsmouth and had a look around a sub. very interesting crampt and stunk of diesel oil. the galley was only big enough for one cook in attendance but to cook for say 100 blokes must have been worth a watch.

how do you fancy doing a recky to see if its worth salvaging. if the showman sees it he will be scooting along at low tide on his wheel horse for the engine . argh the engines missing looks as if he beat us ray

If you don’t succeed, try try again. whats all this about you might be asking yourself, this governor on the engine has been causing quite a stir as it was making the engine rpm run into the red. so after some debate I have followed advise and adjusted whilst engine running and have decreased the rpm virtualy to a stand still. now all seems well, but under load from the machine when cutting grass will be the tester.

Darren. I would give it a try, like so many of our projects the have a go joes get going and then they give up in desperation then we get them and make the babies sing. all down to the knowledge on this fine forum.

A little rain has sent me to the shed for a remake on the grass box. I mentioned that my panal beating was getting worse so have filled in the larger dents with plastic filler and given another coat of paint. hoping now that it looks better, but need to leave some small ones in so that it now looks used ,and not abused.

Using the timing marks method I’ve found is usually fine for the 4strokes but with the 2strokes it can be worth setting it as per the manual, at the moment I can’t remember how many degrees it is.
