Membercoming along nicely now ,its not going to be long now once you get the colour sussed. The points as you say are an awkward one for sure but I guess if you can lock the other end of crankshaft while you remove flywheel it should not be that bad.

MemberThanks Darren. I am not a expert on engines as you might have noticed but why put this system on if the speed of the engine can be regulated by carb adjustment only as many other engines do not have it fitted ? Maybe this is the eighth wonder of the world ?

MemberAndy. Have not moved rod but maybe the owners befre could have set it up wrongly. When i get fuel needle and seat will try what you have suggested.

MemberARGH ! Forgot to mention to those who are helping me with the governor set up,there is no throttle cable connected to governor linkage and does not look as if there has ever been one. Maybe the carb has been changed and the governor is set on max rpm so the carb is working the engine on its own merits.open to all to reply.

Memberthe numbers mean a lot to willamsons of ripon, but they are not a ral or any other paint system. martin if you need any of the paint you could collect ex works and you will save postage if you decide you like it.

MemberHi Darren,
Sorry I can’t help but will be pleased to hear if others can as I have had a similar experience, ending up with me mixing my own.
Whilst most of my old aquisitions have been predminently the Darker Green I have ahd some that look like the original showing bright Green however these were mid 60’s models not as old as yours.December 19, 2013 at 10:30 pm #4244vhgmcbuddy
