Memberthanks john, well its day 3 of the build, took some 12″ wheels and hubs off one of those old red things and stuck them on the back, found an old diesel engine on the shelf and got it fitted, now you can see why i used the rear axle that i did (the drive is on the left) then i had to make the dashboard 3″ taller to fit over the engine the next job tommorow is to start making the other panels fit. Now the hardest part for me with this build is i want the finished tractor to have the oily rag look and i have never done that before

MemberFrankie’s ready for a work out, bit more playing around needed but broke the back of it now. Might have a word with that decal man Titch next year to see what he can do for a younger horse. Pleased I didn’t break it now, I have a a spare deck but will have to look out for the lifting gear to give it a go on the grass next year.

MemberYou could try tiding up the edges of the weld to see if it has penetrated into the sump, from your photos it doesn’t look that good. But you never know sometimes we get a pleasant surprise. If by any chance it has penetrated then remove just enough to make it look a bit more presentable.

MemberHondas crack there if they’ve been over revved. For the float thourghly dry it out then a drop of araldite works well, or you could solder it up.

MemberThanks Angus ,so really I need to start it and see if the weights system in the engine is making any difference to the linkage connected to the manifold butterfly . if NOT then maybe the spring is to strong and not letting any slack develop during varied engine speed if its possible.
