Thank you Andrew, at the moment the blade is with John Cruse as he was trying to find one, when it returns I will post details.
Thank you for the offer, I have now emailed Garfitts to see if they can help, sounds pricey !!
Hello John.
I believe ‘ mechanised gardening’ folded in the 90s. I also understand that the Monro spares were saved by some VHGMC members and stored in an unsuitable building which led to them becoming badly damaged by weather etc and rendered unusable. I may have got the wrong end of the stick here, but I think Charlie knows a lot more than I do.

Hello John.
That looks like a useful find. The ‘nosecone’ looks different to mine which is a 1928 model 5 in original condition and just as it came out of work 30plus years ago. It would be interesting to see a close up shot later.

Hello Moggyjim
It is not a ‘beauty contest’, you can restore your machine or leave it in it’s ‘working clothes’.
most are somewhere in between, clean and tidy but able to work.
Hope that helps
Chris
Hello moggyjim.
Even though the VHGMC have a marquee and presence at the GDSF you have to book a machine in via the GDSF section leader or through Show office, details are on their website.
The section leader for the Horticultural section is Mrs Christine Ricketts 01258 452984. if you phone her she will probably be able to put you on her list. You will probably still have to get an entry form from show office and submit a photo of the exhibit for their approval.
Good luck.
Chris
