Maurice welcome to our club, you will soon discover that you are a long way from out of control, there are two collectors in our club that together have 1100 mowers, a world record, you may have heard of them, the Hall & Duck Trust. Amongst the collective knowledge in the club you will find we hold a wealth of literature relating to all manner of machines.

Apparently any place name on the levels that ends with ‘ney’ is an island eg Muchelney so residents should not be surprised when they get cut off. Muchelney is cut off and there is a now a completely submerged car on the road to the village, so that makes it about 4ft deep!!!

I use Castrol Valvemaster lead replacement available from Halfords and Ethomix from Frost Restoration this helps prevent gumming and some of the other problems caused by ethanol. For more about these and other additives see FBHVC Fuel Information

Conditions are much the same here in Somerset, very, very wet and I am lucky not to be on the levels which will remain flooded for many weeks even if it stops raining. It is very rare for me to be able to get on the veg patch with the rotavator before March due to wet ground conditions. Checked the chickens this morning and surprised to find they have not grown webbed feet yet!
I was brought up near the Wilts/Glos border at Highworth.

A word of warning, do not over tighten the bolt with a taper head on it. I did and split t he casting, which I then had to get welded.

Westie welcome to the forum. That will be a good one to exhibit as I am sure very few people will have seen or even know such attachments were available for these ride on mowers. On the subject of photos, shrinkpic has the advantage it does everything automatically. Note the thumbnail that appears in the forum posting may well be cropped but the image will open to show the full picture.

It is always interesting to see old adverts especially from around the world.

File size is limited to 3072KB, this applies to photo’s, word documents and pdf documents.
There are a number of ways to reduce file size but I have found the easiest by far is to use shrinkpic. This runs in the background and automatically resizes photos when uploading to web or e mail attachment.
