Many thanks for that , their ploughs are miles ahead of anything we had on our period machines.

Absolutely , I managed to shear off a couple of bolts on a machine today……..miniscule in the grand scheme of things , our thoughts should be for those really suffering.

Thanks Gents, I’ve got a bit of work to do on it , but should have it up and running in time. Unusually for me it’s the first and only fourstroke machine in my collection.

Kev , all being well I should be able to bring my Coleby and original plough along.
    Will be in touch later.

I would say it’s more likely the condensor.

John , not picking it up until tomorrow. The ones I have seen have been all Yellow , a mixture of various greens and red , one was a blue engine , no paint at all on the (alloy) gearbox and with green handles with red wheels………. hence I’m a tad confused. Knowing me it may never get painted , and put straight to use.

John , that’s a great shame , I know how much pride you give your machines , both restoring them and above all showing them.
I personally find it quite sad that many of our machines are hidden away in sheds by hoarders , that never see the light of day , most of which don’t even run , but as the saying goes each to their own. I really hope the Atco falls into your category.
I always try to help out the genuine restorer , but when a hoarder comes a calling they have no chance whatsoever.

Jamie , gland seal bush goes in first , followed by the spring washer , then main bearing. I would strongly recommend fitting new gland seal bushes and springs , along with new main bearings if you wish the engine to run and perform well.
Above anything run the machine on a mixture of STRAIGHT 30 grade oil & 16 to 1 ratio.
