How do i fit dual wheels to a howard 300 it can be a bit tippy on rough ground

does any one have a picture of the belt set up on one of these a friend brought one around for me to fettle but the belts make little sense i have a thick belt going from the variable pulley down to the large pulley and a thin belt from the variable to the engine. then a snake of a belt which should be reverse but drives the machine foward.HELP

Hi Guys i am in the middle of refurbishing a merry tiller the engine is now in paint but the rest of the machine looks tatty The paint looks more like a howard colour than a wholsely red.Do i leave it as is paint it post office red or howard orange and then its hunt the decals, any thoughts..

i have used the clone coils with no problem. But i look out on the internet sites for used genuine ones from scrapped mowers. My titan gt has a 7hp briggs and that has a bigger version of the magnatron . yes mine is the earlier model i have a 5hp shroud and it is miles to small. There is little wear on the machine just a shame no blower cover???

Yes is was used as a paddock mower and spent its life outside.the engine has compression and the 3 pin coil so no points to worry about.I am not sure if the cowl size varies from hp to hp so not sure what to chase down.

just bought a merry tiller for spares and i would like to get it working again. Im not sure on the engine size it is a GT Titan with gears but the cooling shroud is missing could it be a 5 or 7 hp engine i dont know what cowel will fit i have included some pics to see if that helps.

The angle iron chassis is 1 and a half by 1 and a half.Dimensions are 48 inches long 33 inches wide and the two timber runners are 4 foot long hope this helps i am rebuilding mine and possibly extending the main frame so i can sit in front instead of in the truck. Hope this helps.

with a bit of luck there are pictures attached the bracket dimensions are as follows pivot brackets 4inches by 4 and a half 2 inches along the bottom and 5 inches across the angle the tube/ pivot is 1 inch diameter. the front brackets are5 inches long and 1 inch and a half wide

my id number starts with a P so i know it is a professional model is it just the engine that sets them apart or do i have a better chain case etc..

Can someone tell me what size the yellow clinton engine is and are points and coils readily available. i have picked up another merrytiller to restore and use should i fit a briggs which i know runs a treat.
