What machine is this fitted to? Does it have a throttle cable or is engine governed only?

The Rowtrac was not designed by Geo Monro, the Monro Tiller was, designed by Harry Shickle and very solidly built. The clutch lock does not look original, those that I have seen are on the side of the gearbox. A close up of the lock and surrounding area would be useful.

It could be it has been modified to fit a T or TS. The literature I have for the F shows a long and a short square bar extending back to fit in the sockets on the F, in line with the shorter bar is another bar extending forward to carry a depth wheel.

What is the odd bracket on top of the gearbox cover by the clutch lever? What does it do as I have not seen this on a Monro Tiller before.

The one place rally dates appear that all club members can see, not just those using the website, is The Cultivator, unfortunately it is hard to get members to tell the editor well in advance what events are on.

Looking at the engine the fuel tank appears non original, possibly off a lawn mower looking at the fixing in the end. The engine cowl is a different colour to the gearbox again suggesting it is not original, what does the writing on the cover by the starter pullet say?
I have never seen a clutch drive plate break up to that extent. I did successfully make a temporary disc using thin plywood. It might be worth checking gearbox turns over OK to see what caused such a failure. I will have a look through parts to see if I can help but can’t make any promises.

Have you tried running the engine without the throttle cable connected? If it runs without revving when cable is disconnected then the cable is the problem.

Photo files can be reduced by using software such as Shrinkpic

I would recommend a lead substitute such as Castrol Valvemaster, it is also worth using an additive such as Ethomix, this helps reduce some of the effects of ethanol in the fuel; it will not overcome material compatability issues. For more on fuel additives see FBHVC website also includes list of tested and approved additives.
Original oil would have been Castrol XL SAE30 or similar, this oil is still available, Morris Oils also do a suitable one. Do not use a modern multigarde oil, the detergents in it will wash sludge etc from engine and could block oil ways.

I have sent an e mail asking if spares are available. Looking at the website it seems to only cover motorcycle carbs.
