Well done. Remember club working weekend is at Weeley next weekend if you want some more practice, help or advice.

Great news. The website ‘about’ page (partly hidden by logo on menu bar) should give a good starting point for any article with additional information, photos etc. He can contact the club directly at vhgmc@btinternet.com

Benita and I have booked in at Premier Inn as don’t fancy camping this late in the year.

One thing I don’t have is a bird cage tool to flare cable ends prior to soldering. See Venhill website for details of how to make cables.

I have made up new cables for a couple of my Monro Tillers, cable and nipples bought online from a motorcycle parts company. Biggest problem is selecting correct size nipples. I will have a look at throttle on Simar 56 to see if I have correct ends. How long does cable need to be?

Nigel thanks for sharing videos, a good arena and working display. Well done to Steve D for commentary.

I think the wet summer was ideal for slugs as they have eaten half my crop of potatoes. Not sure if leaving blighted spuds in ground is a good idea, I thought best treatment was early removal of foliage to prevent blight getting down to tubers. Do not put blighted material in compost heap.

One of the shows I attend has a horticultural machine ring parade and the commentator gets owners to say a few words.

Steven have a look at DVLA and FBHVC websites for details of forms and other documents you will require. It will depend if you want an age related plate or a Q plate.

Thank you to Chris and everyone else that manned the club marquee. The decision not to send club shop items was based on cost of shipping to and from site and potential profit/loss.

Apparently the wet conditions did provide additional ‘entertainment’ a work colleague saw an artic with loaded low loader pulled in by 2 Scammels, even applying the artics brakes did not stop them.

John, could it be that the cord has been replaced with wire by a previous owner? Have you tried Meetens for a spare?
