Ben welcome to the forum. I have a similar age Howard with the BJ engine and broken reverse gear. The early reverse gear machines had a serious fault where reverse could be engaged while still in forward gear, this results in stripped gears. My machine only has 2nd and 3rd gear as 1st is damaged.
A great weekend, well worth driving 206 miles to get there. Worth going just to meet other club members and have a good chat as well as see machines working or static display. Thanks to everyone involved in organising the event and to every club member that attended.
Spider file size limit for photos etc is 3.072Mb. If you install free software ShrinkPic it will automatically resize photos when uploading to web or sending via e mail. I have used it for a couple of years now.

I am visiting MERL on Wednesday, donating some old bw 16mm films, looking through some of the Geo Monro items in collection and if time permits a look around the museum. Might make an article for The Cultivator.
