Looked like the oil pump on the engine failed Chris when I saw it after Andrew took it apart

Hi Chris, unfortunately it is suspected oil pump failure, I didn’t have a lot of time to diagnose, but the piston was fairly dry when I took it apart. TBH, until I get a chance to strip the pump down, I’m keeping an eye out for a machine with a shot gearbox but a decent engine… I could be a long time looking.

Now that the weekend is over and all the machines are off the field has
anybody got any complaints or comments to make? Next years event
takes place on 19th and 20th September. We have one or two ideas that
we are talking about but we really want your input on this as it is
your club and David and myself want it to be as good as this year
or better. So come on lets hear from you. Dave .

Here is a link to a short video I took of the ploughing match.

    At least, I hope it’s a link!

It was indeed a great weekend and if the magneto on my Anzani hadn’t played up, would have been even better!

    Cheers

    Ant

Edit: Link didn’t work, so to see it, search for Weeley working weekend 2014 on youTube. I still find this forum tricky!

    Andrew.
If the Hirth piston is still usable I can find you a s/h oil pump, let me know what you decide to do.
