Your Monro Tiller is a series 3 machine, s/n 832442 was despatched August 1958 and delivered on 11th Feb 1959 to W F Tarrant, Avalon, Wolverley, nr Kidderminster, see attached extract from factory records.
As you say tyres for the Monrotiller are obsolete. The same size was also fitted to the small Barford Atom and some Merry Tillers. Merry Tiller wheels and tyres do come up for sale but usually fetch a good price, typically £40-£50. You may be able to find a modern equivalent but beware there is not much room for anything wider or larger in overall diameter due to the reverse gear housing on lh side of gearbox.
I will send you a private message regarding manual and parts list.

You can find a copy of the engine manual here I had a quick look and it does not say how to remove flywheel, but the exploded diagram in the parts list may help. The nut holding flywheel on could be a left hand thread.

Another possible source is online supplier Simply Bearings they also sell drive belts. I have used them for bearings and seals and found them to provide a good service.

For hoeing between rows you would need to use a push hoe like the Jalo or similar.

Sally, you appear to have a Douglas Gapper, for other examples please see https://vhgmc.co.uk/photo-galleries/douglas-auto-gapper/
They were used to take out unwanted plants (thinning) in a row eg sugarbeet, to create gaps and correct spacing.

Have you had a close look to see if bearings have any numbers on them?
Are you measuring in imperial or metric? Simply Bearings have a good website.

Where have you tried so far? Have you tried a search on the internet, yellow pages etc?

The original twin cylinder engine used on the Howard Gem was their own design. Earlier examples did use a V twin engine. Someone did have all the information on a website but I think they took the site down due to spam attacks.

I knew I had something filed away, see attached. I have more and will email them all to you as the files are too large to upload to forum.

Mine arrived yesterday. I wonder how many readers will spot the ‘Fake’ machine which will be the subject of an article for December issue.

We are aware of the ‘fake’machine and a follow on article will appear in the December issue warning members of the perils of relying on unverified information on the internet or in print.
It will be interesting to see how many spot the fake.

Have a look at the list in The Cultivator, page 2, there is a contact for British Anzani, they may be able to help.

The information I have does not list a 676B, it does have a 576B which was fitted to JAP 4/2, 5 & 6 engines. I have copied what information I have, see attached, it could be someone has fitted an alternative magneto.

William, the click you are listening for is the magneto impulse. Not all magnetos are fitted with them, it nay be that it is the wrong magneto. There should be a small plate on the magneto giving type, if you could post that up on here it will help identify what magneto you have. Also which model of Petter A, and serial number as looking at the Wico magneto information I have several different magnetos were fitted over the years.
