G-G-G-Granville would be pleased! I’ve got a butchers bike as well, I could always put a Teagle engine on it! I would only need to change the belt for a friction roller! Check out the PCV reg. no., ‘er’s Cornish, m’ansum!

On the Mk 12 Ignition timing is 3/16″ (4.76mm) before TDC, slacken the flywheel so that it just turns on the crankshaft, turn the engine to tdc, rotate it backwards until the piston is 3/16″ back down the bore (best to remove the head for accuracy).
Rotate the flywheel while holding the crank still until the points are just opening (use a cigarette paper, it should just pull out)
Still keeping the crank stationary carefully tighten the crankshaft nut. recheck the timing, if it’s OK do the crankshaft nut up very tight.
The Villiers spanner for this has a lump on the end which you hit with a hammer.

Hi Stew welcome along, I’ve had a few ex-WD gen sets, one of which had a Villiers engine. It was a Mk 25, though. I’ll put up some instructions about timing Villiers engines….

Hi John, Welcome, That’s a good looking conversion. It looks like it was done some while ago, judging by the front wheels which are probably Ford 8 or 19 ones. Have you got a Bonnet?

Type no and engine no are also stamped into the base flange. My 220 didn’t have a plate either…..

Cheers, Geoff, will do, BTW those pies you get from the West Midlands are now available from my pie and cheese stall on Calne market. I got a chunk of their gala pie last week! Yum!! 🙂

I could bring a few more sprayers to add to my Spraymobile….

Sorry to read of your negative experience, Neil, I’ve always had a great welcome on the club stand. Here’s Steve the Club Shopkeeper making friends with my two Borzoi hounds!

I haven’t seen any seeders like these but the “Florists Friend” sprayer sounds familiar….
