What a cracker, John, any more barn finds in the depths of Somerset? 😀
I’ve got a photo of Dick’s machine from the Honiton Hills Rally, no Roller and has a BSA 420 engine…..
I would change the oil and filters, oil that has been stood in an engine for a while builds up acids and carbon which can attack the bearings….
it’s worked OK for me, Sam, nice bit of film….
No but I’d like to see one! 🙂
There’s a list of spares on this website, I have dealt with him and can recommend him…

I’ve got a carb. assy. for that type going spare if you need it….
One of my Facebook contacts on the JAP page reckons it’s out of a Lister Autotruck….
U = 600sv C = sports Z = Dry Sump W = 1950 or 1930, looks like a BTH mag. It’s got a governor so that rules out motorcycles…
Could be Weeks of Maidstone, Coleby made big sprayers but the only picture I’ve seen has a JAP on it. I’ve put up a picture of a Weeks with a Lister A on it. I don’t think the A is original as most of them seemed to have Rustons fitted…
Nice to see you back, Trosher, Petter A engines were used on 36volt 1260watt generators for charging wireless and vehicle batteries….
Nice machines, there, Jim….
Thank’s mate, I’ll probably be taking the caravan….
Any more info?
A good find, they weren’t sold over here….
Very interesting, I would guess they had an office in Totnes, and their main works was in Buckfastleigh or they moved!
