Charlie, making a good job dispite shelling out for the new items which it needed. the finished restoration will have been expensive ,but worth it.

    Hi Charlie,
I’ve been waying up the rebuild and on looking at the parts list can not find a gasket between the gear cases and I must admit when I took it apart did not find a lot of material . Did they just use sealer ? I have made a new gasket but are scratching my head now.

    Any thoughts

hi the splitter could be easy,as I saw a log splitting head mounted onto a car rear axel and that was the power drive to make it rotate and split the logs. Maybe one fitted to an atom wheel jacked up clear of ground would do the same thing.

The bonsor was missing the optional extra front bumper. Made a replacement this afternoon. Waiting on filters and need to fit the exhaust that has arrived today.

Ref the splitter – I am going to set up a belt driven screw type table arrangement. There are loads of examples on YouTube driven by washing machine motors so how hard can it be…?

After a bit of research I think it is a Landmaster, very similar to a L160 but not the same, the wheels and bottom half of the chaincase are the same. see this link to the old website
