vhgmcbuddyMemberHi Charlie that’s interesting to know about the reverse gear, I take you have to be in Neutral for the reverse to work, or does it bring an idler gear so just reverses the forward gears?
Also don’t suppose you know roughly the size the roto cover lower flap is, as I need to fabricate a new one thanks.

Its off a 14″ mower, so should be about 14″ wide. The later one is significantly different, so can’t be confused

vhgmcbuddyMemberHere is a link to a short video I took of the ploughing match.
At least, I hope it’s a link!
It was indeed a great weekend and if the magneto on my Anzani hadn’t played up, would have been even better!
Cheers
Ant
Edit: Link didn’t work, so to see it, search for Weeley working weekend 2014 on youTube. I still find this forum tricky!

vhgmcbuddyMemberHi Chris, unfortunately it is suspected oil pump failure, I didn’t have a lot of time to diagnose, but the piston was fairly dry when I took it apart. TBH, until I get a chance to strip the pump down, I’m keeping an eye out for a machine with a shot gearbox but a decent engine… I could be a long time looking.

vhgmcbuddyMemberLooked like the oil pump on the engine failed Chris when I saw it after Andrew took it apart

vhgmcbuddyMemberAlthough I already have the funnel & strainer that came with the original sprayer (code CM8290 & CM8291) I laid my hands on this one this week which I cleaned up (see photos). My original one is still coated with grease and has waxed paper on the handle, so I thought I’d see what it looked like originally.
As you can see there’s quite a difference between the state it arrived in and after a polish!
It is mainly copper, with brass spout, and what appears to be part chromed strainer, with iron/steel handles.
