Thank you will-haggle, Its old but not as old as some of the other old goods on this forum. I hope some day that it will be around long enough to be classed as a vintage tractor. She get used everyday. I work it here on 50 acres hauling wood, cutting grass, plowing/blowing snow, pulling the hay wagon, etc. She has never let me down. I just love it. What brand do you have? Does it have a story? Maybe some pictures?

I wonder if it is possible to rig up a separate fuse board between the loom in the car and the socket? I was thinking that in the old days you had a simple fuse holder for the radio power lead, could I have a number of those , one for each wire going to the socket? that would prevent a fire wouldn,t it? might sound daft, but I am picking up the replacement car tomorrow, and I never want to see another one bunt out!

    Rob,

My exhaust is quite oily, I guess they always will be as oil in mixed with the fuel so it’s unlikly that it will be completely burnt off, however the exhaust fumes aren’t to smokey only when started so it’s running ok.

A previous owner has put a shield on top of the starter motor and solenoid to prevent any oil driving onto it, it has done a very good job.

My silencer really needs cleaned / decarbonised; to clean it the manual says that the it has to be burnt out and all the exhaust components made red hot in a forge or with a welding torch.

Found this decal after I wiped away some of the grime where the dirty old exhaust has been blowing, re angled the exaust to blow away from the body.
