    Thanks Neil,

I’ll try a new plug first. I’ll send you an email regarding the coil.

    Cheers!

Very interesting trusty, my first and only guess was really wide of the mark. That’s two to you now, you’ll have to try for three in a row.

I no I’ve had colourcharts against the red that’s left and none seem to match. It’s kinda gone a faded pink colour, I did think that massey furgie red would be near enough. It’s a hard decision

This is my new rotovator i have inherited from a family member.
Machine runs really well. General plans are to fully restore it back to its former glory and hopefully exhibit it at a few show.

Before fitting the engine, I thought it would be best to have the handlebars back in place to make it easier to counterbalance the weight of the engine. The steering column assembly is attached to the rear of the main gearbox by four M8 studs, of which the two longer ones are fitted towards the rear. There is also a paper gasket between the gearbox and column (Simar 0049 & 50). Before fitting the swivel head for the handlebars to the steering column, the steering release plunger needs to be fitted (Simar 0051). Note the orientation of the collar to the right of the spring which includes a cut out for a 5 x 30mm roll pin. Slide the swivel head onto the top of the steering column, ensuring that the release plunger locates into one of the 3 tapered holes at the top of the column. With the swivel head in position, insert the pivot pin (Simar 0052). The pivot pin is locked into the swivel head using two 8 x 50mm roll pins. At the lowered end of the pivot pin, fit the washer, spring, collar, M16 castellated nut and 4 x 35mm split pin (Simar 0053). Note that the picture shows these items in the fully loosened position.

    Hi all,

Well, I assume my Magneto is knackered. So before I fork out on another one can someone remiond me of the type/spec spark plugs I require as I’ve mislaid the information.

It has to be worth trying a new plug before I replace the Magneto.
