Hi really appreciate all the help… Checked the oil and it’s pretty thick so was going to change oil and clean the carb. Is it just ordinary unleaded fuel ? Also, when starting do I just turn the handle clockwise several times or is there owt else cheers john

Hi many thanks, is it just fill her up or is there a max or min amount….. any advice on servicing, things I need to do to make sure I don’t do any damage when I fire it up. Cheers

The 320cc BSA engine out of my Dad’s old Cultmate was fitted with an Amal 124/131 carburettor. Looks to be the same as yours.

Thank you very much for the link looks like it’s 1959 as it’s a G stamped on the crank case 16H/G/763/2.The original owner must have purchased the plough and Tarpen gear in the 60’s although I surpose the engine could have been in Landmaster’s store for a bit and mounted to the frame in the early 60’s.
One more question has any one got a link to a 16H engine manual?
