charlieKeymasterVery smart, like new, which of course the cover is. Well worth the time and expense.

charlieKeymasterLooking at the parts list I have it shows part number 16113/1 is for model 2A and 2S only. Part number 21632 is for 2AB and 2SB only. It does not give thickness unfortunately.

charlieKeymasterI have had a look at the instruction manual/parts list and it only gives a Teagle pat number J24 and no indication of dimensions.

charlieKeymasterYou could try the Green Spark Plug Company They may know where you could get one or an equivalent if they do not have any in stock.

charlieKeymasterThere is a guide to compressing photo files in the Help and Information section at https://vhgmc.co.uk/forums/topic/compressing-photo-files-using-ms-office-picture-manager/
This is only necessary if photo file is over 5MB, often the case with digital cameras. After compressing and saving file all you need to do is attach the file by using the choose file button below box where you enter text.January 17, 2022 at 8:03 am #38456
charlieKeymasterThere is a reason for limiting photo file size; server storage capacity and the subsequent cost of having more, which would have to be paid for. Larger files will also take longer to upload and open when viewed.
There is a guide to reducing photo file size in the Help and Information section of the forum at https://vhgmc.co.uk/forums/topic/compressing-photo-files-using-ms-office-picture-manager/
It is a very simple operation.January 16, 2022 at 7:56 am #38449
charlieKeymasterGFO would have been a Gloucestershire or Radnorshire registration. You could contact the archive department of those councils to see if they still have vehicle registration records, not all do.

charlieKeymasterIt sounds like a normal ATCO motor mower with ride on/trailed seat rather than a true ride on mower.

charlieKeymasterI remember seeing a photo of that machine many years ago, so glad it is now in the safe custody of VHGMC member. Ready for phase two of the operation in the new year.

charlieKeymasterGoogle can be used to translate whole documents, I used for a SIMAR manual which was in French. It is not perfect but far better than anything I could do. You will need to scan the document to create a pdf file. Have a look at https://cloud.google.com/translate/docs/advanced/translate-documents

charlieKeymasterI have a Trusty Earthquake rotavator with a Villiers Mk25 engine which is left in the shed unused for months, typically 6 months, and it starts first time without the need to clean points.
Some later Mayfields had a Kohler engine, others used a B&S engine I believe. The Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) at Reading has an extensive collection of information about Mayfield garden tractors.November 30, 2021 at 7:46 am #38292
charlieKeymasterIt is well worth noting that not all VHGMC members use the club website, so response to this topic is not necessarily a good measure of interest. The only way to contact all VHGMC members is via the club magazine, but there is no guarantee they will read it.

charlieKeymasterirc you may want to reconsider posting your email address where it is publicly visible. Far better to pass that sort of information via a private message.
