Hi you could try gary colt on the forum, garry chambers he is a very good source of information. i have overhauled one of these but i did not need any gears here a few picture that may help the needle bearing on the rh side near the trumpet is usually the cause of the trouble plus the fact youcan get two gears at once so twisted shafts are common also

Hi Bish not sure these pictures help much this is one for sale at welland a few years ago it had all the litrature and only fetched about £25.

on display at malvern spring festival. the head pivots to keep it level on the ground there is only one cutting edge thats at the front and the serated bit pivots up when you push forward that serated bit is not ground sharp just as cut and i think its made of sstailess steel

It was a petter pc1 fitted to the trusty there are a few variations around but i believe the pc1 is the right engine they are a bit scarce i know becaause its the same engine fitted to the Crawley 75 not many spares availible either. the only trusty i know with this engine fitted is in somerset i think Gerald Harris has it now i have his contact…[Read more]

Pete welcome to the club the onlt merry tiller blade i have seen is rear mounted but ther may be a front mounted one will haggle is the merry tiller expert i am sure he will advise us.
