I dont know, bought the mower off the bay, so history unknown? I do remember having similar fun with the points on the Mk15 of the Bantam. If anyone has a manual for this engine and the mower, I would be extremely grateful!
My Mk15 on the Bantam has the same Governor set up…… no linkage from the actual carb. The Governor butterfly is fitted in the inlet and is operated by the ‘draw’ of the piston on the downward strokes. Ive got a photo, just need to find it……

Then all seems in order John , the cable merely operates on the carb slide , there is no cable for the govenor linkage. The MK15 engine on the Howard Bantams works on exactly the same principle , amongst a few others.

I had it running some time ago but I’ve not used it yet. It’s not sparking/firing at the moment so I’m hoping its nothing major. New plug tomorrow and some time to work on the rest over the weekend. Yes it would be nice to get it looking “original”. Hope fully a nice light-weight machine to use when my osteo-arthritis plays up. Compared to my Howard Bantam.
Right you have the bantam and I will throw in a Clifford MK 1 just to make the trailer load up. Hows that men !!!!

John the specials for 2014 are a Mayfield Merlin gathering and a Howard lineup, so your Clinton engined Bantam would be well appreciated…
John no idea what’s going on there mate .and a great collection there mr haggle , I will bring my demon to and my BSA engined bantam not the bike plus might slot one of my bull finches to so already a line up .would also love to get simar kids Clinton engined bantam hint hint. Anymore?
