Thx for help, think it goes on back , how do I add a photo here ? It has a 4in square box coming from middle base section and a square hook like bar coming from it !I will try to add photo’s

Nearly finished it now looking great.

Only a few days to go before delivery and once installed will be able to spray the 14 inch grass box and the 28 inch box in the shed at home,without anything spoiling in the shed due to overspray. Then that’s two more mowers finished.

I find the easy way is to set your camera to the lowest or email photo settings. and upload strait from the SD card. I have and old and a newer camera and they both work this way. I had to resize photos on the old sit with Office picture manager but I think the new site will upload a larger photo.

Made up alliterative exhaust for G28 engine, This is a versatile little engine because the pulley is centrifugal. Can be used for other applications, remembering health and safety of course.

Unfortunately Geoff, the mag on my Norton is quite different to what you describe. The pictures hopefully show what mine is like.
Basically, the sprocket has two notches in the back which locate over the lugs on the impulse coupling. There is then a metal disk with an off centre locating pin on it (you can just see the back of the pin below the screw head in the photo of the sprocket) which fits in the centre of the sprocket. The pin on this disk fits into a hole in the end of the magneto shaft so that it cannot spin. A left hand thread screw then attaches the lot to the magneto shaft.
All of the above means that the sprocket will only fit one way on the magneto shaft. So, as far as I can work out, I need to rotate the whole impulse mechansim without rotating the magneto shaft, but I am not sure that this is even possible.

Very Interesting, I did not know the Mountfield also had two belts, when we have some grass, I will try this Mayfield out.
