Didn’t see this thread, started another elsewhere. We have got VHGM areas in several rallies in Cornwall this year I suppose we ought to advertise them.

If it is not original it is a very nice job , I will try and get some pic’s . Using some broard flat bar and what’s left of the old drive I have remade the drive to clutch then made a plate to suit out of ply , had a little go after fettling here and there works ok but will keep my eye on it during proper use . I personally think the machine is well made and all the problems I have found show signs off abuse and neglect which is why I have been determined to resurrect the little monkey.

It is currently fitted to my Norton engined Trusty, as it was the closest match I could obtain to the original 225/7 model carb. I am making the throttle linkage that joins to the twist grip control on the handlebars from scratch. There is no governor in the engine.

I’ve forgotten: can you give the plate number of your motocultivator? Usually it becomes with a “T”
an american friend of mine tries to gather all the numbers of the still living models D in USA and Europe both american and english tractors.
Also: is your tractor a simple clutch tractor or an “Imperial”tractor with fwd/rvs drive?
Also: do you know that your Gravely comes from a factory which never existed: not a trace in Devon!!!!

I am afraid that it is a creeping Illness that can overtake a normal person, to such an extent that they are quite unable to operate in normal social gatherings, Panic attacks start when the victim realises that not everyone they talk to understands, or is even remotely interested in Rotorvators, clutches and throttle cables, and eventually they begin to realise that it is not just the “Others” who are the Anoraks.

i think the calender on the old site was very good for keeping up to date with events. could this not be applied to the new better site then echoed into the cultivator? this way it would meet all members needs be it old school or new tech. also potential new members could see a list of events while on their trial membership, come to an event and meet other members.

Thanks for that. Obviously someone has added that part over the years.I’m now wondering if the carb is wrong. Mine is a V1335c with a transparent cup and filter. Does anyone know if this is correct?
I’m getting quite fanatical about all this, is this normal? I used to think that this sort of thing was reserved for anoraks with nothing better to do!
