ParticipantMy 1945 MG2 has traces of green paint under the blue on the engine sump. I had assumed that this might have been a war time economy, but perhaps it was Ransomes practice to use green as an undercoat?

Your MG5 is looking good, Neil Jarret is the best source of parts in this country email njarrett at btinternet.com , he is on this forum as ransome256
Dave Clark would like the serial no for the MG register, have a look at the Survivors section of this website.

ParticipantTry Hawk Fasteners in Middlesborough or Namrick in Hove. I bought 3/4″ Whit bolts at Alton Bolt and Tool recently, all have web sites.
