ParticipantMany thanks to all who made the effort and came to Weeley for the weekend.
A special thank you to Robert ( Trusty mad ) for all the extra work he put in to
helping me set up on Friday and helping me on Sunday evening to pull down
and store all the bits away again till next year. A full report will be in

ParticipantI was at Weeley today setting the field out and the ground was a little bit wet but it ploughed ever so well. Looking good for the weekend so do not be put off by the weather forcasters.

ParticipantIts a little bit wet at the moment but the long range forcast is looking
good and we have got extra tents for the barbe on Saturday evening so

two available so you all can have a little try at ploughing. Don’t
be shy just ask and we will be only too happy to help you and
advise you what to do, I promise not to laugh at your efforts as

ParticipantIts looking good for the Weeley weekend. I was on the field all day today
The playpen field has been topped and the camping field has been cut and
is in good condition. I will mark out the ploughing plots on Friday
18th.
Please be warned there is livestock on the farm, so please all dogs to be kept
on a lead. The sheep can be petted but NO feeding and be warned the ram
will but you if you get in the pen with him. See you on the 19th and 20th.

ParticipantI think that you will find that nearly all disc harrows had wood bearings, as the
dusty soil conditions and oil or grease made for a very good grinding paste and the
oil soaked wood was a better bearing surface than any metal to metal bearing.
I fitted a new set of wood bearings in my set of discs about 20 years ago and they
