    Hi

Was wondering if anyone had any information or pics on mansley rotorvators? I’ve just bought one in need of tlc to go to my MG 6.

    Thanks Richard

    Richard,
Please find attached copy of Sales Leaflet for the Mansley Rotary Cultivator manufactured by Gregson & Monk Ltd, Agricultural Machinery Dept, Vulcan Iron Works, Preston.Lancashire.

Two models were available, the 30″ wide model for the MG5 and the wider 36″ model for the MG6 and MG40
30″ model cost £132 and 36″ model £140 delivered to your railway station
The central drive Mansley had a advantage over the side driven Rotary Hoes (Howard) alternative in that it could work right up to wall of greenhouses as shown on the Sales Leaflet.
Both were “Approved” implements for use with the Ransomes MG

From discussion with Martin Mansley at Malvern, they also manufactured a unit with two rotovating heads with a gap between them designed for cultivating either side of strawberry plants. Someone I spoke to at the show had one but I cannot remember who.

That would have been me Jon.

A mate who you met in Kent the other year owns it. Not Alastair!
