Thanks. I hadn’t seen one before – and the seller doesn’t name it. I like the look at it. How does it stand up to the more common(?) Trusty or Anzani pedestrian tractors? Was it a reasonable sales success?

Well done Robert – a great selection of pictures. I now just need to convince my other half to hang it up in the kitchen. Failing that it will definitely be used in the shed.

Hi Jonathan. Thanks for your further thoughts. Unfortunately the wheels have gone in a number of places – including around the lip so they are also unable to hold new tyres. I’m therefore exploring all options. With the tank even semi filled there is some weight for the wheels to support. If I could find some kind of period replacements (even if they aren’t exactly the same / not the 3 stud pattern) it may be simpler to alter the hubs.

Were you able to find the manual for the pump?

That’s great, I wish I had a plot of ground like that to go at. I could then stretch both my legs and those of the tractor. As it is I’ll continue to sit at the computer and the tractors in the garage. ☹️

My only observation on the potatoes is that, in my experience, you will need to get the potatoes in ASAP – in order to get a crop from them.

    [The RHS recommends planting:
    First earlies around late March
Second earlies from early to mid-April
Main crops from mid- to late April]

For a reasonable fee the Ferguson Club is able to take you through the process of registering any classic tractor and check the supporting evidence pack before it goes to the DVLA, link below:

I found the Noch one too – which club member does the driver most look like?

Thanks – what time does it all kick off on the Saturday morning?

    Hi Dave,
Are you able to give any more details of the weekend such as the timings of things for those who haven’t attended before? I am looking at attending (as I need all the help and pointers I can get on actually starting and running my machine and on the fine art of ploughing) and am wondering how early I need to get up on the Saturday morning.

As my MG6 has been sitting in the corner the garage as a non runner for some years, I foolishly have also bought an Iron Horse (which does run) but I have not yet had the courage or the space to see what it can do ploughing wise.
    Thanks,
    Simon

Thanks Charlie for the clarification – a reminder of the BAVCC safety code will certainly be good to have.
