Nothing about an F43, but this is an F42 image if of interest.

The only image I can find of a definite F30 in the archive is this one. It’s also from a Honda brochure so it’s a certain image. Age unknown.

Which page does it take you to?

Are there any payment/join buttons on that page?

We are just on with altering the pages as I type this!

    The link should be:

    vhgmc.co.uk/mem-reg/

and take you to a list of membership payments, click the relevant ‘sign’up’ button, since you have an account it’ll bypass registration and take you straight to Paypal.

Happy to hear that you have your machines fastened down really well. Making it difficult to steal stuff is probably one of the ways to at least try and safeguard our machines.

The thieves were picked up on CCTV at 3:30am. Out in stormy weather and 40mph+ wind at that time trying to steal stuff! Someone said to me that these thieves should try and put as much effort into getting a proper job!

On my travels I’ve found quite a lot of stuff I’ll have to get onto the News section this winter, I’ve got the images, adverts and newspaper articles, just need to put them together, usually there’s one a month, sometimes two.

Items I’ve got to compile include:

-Inventor of the Barford Atom Tractor 1947 newspaper reports UK & Switzerland.
-First Bolens demonstrated in the UK 1927
-Newspaper reports about the Nash Roller Tractor 1951
    -Vintage Gutbrod images 1960’s

Pleased that you have a good deck and have got it back to excellent condition. It lives to fight another season!

I’ve restored a few mower decks over the years for my tractors including a couple of WHs and not the easiest job as they are prone to damage purely because of their mowing duties.

    Hello Gordon,

There’s some images in the gallery which may be of assistance.

Just to add for anyone reading this thread, as Charlie says: Log into your forum account and then click the link in the subscriptions box on the right column of the screen. Alternatively click the following link to get there also: https://vhgmc.co.uk/mem-reg/

Secure payment is taken by Paypal and the VHGMC website automatically updates your subscription.

When a member becomes a paid member then they can also download back issues of ‘The Cultivator’ magazine from the link at the top of the page or at: https://vhgmc.co.uk/the-cultivator/ . The magazines go back as far as May 1996 so plenty of reading material there!

The sprinkler looks good. How do you clean the brass? I’ve got a few brass syringes sat in my office window that I cleaned up and it took ages to do.

There’s some lawn sprinklers etc in the gallery which look pretty good cleaned up.

    Sprayers, Misters and Dusters

Yes images do end up in an odd order, it’s possibly to do with the image megabyte size but that doesn’t actually answer the question really.

I’ve had a look for any adverts relating to the trac-grip and the only ones for Hatch Bros are for their poultry sheds etc.

However around the 1950’s their adverts have their full address as Station Road Appliance Works, Kelly Bray, Callington, Cornwall, which may help if anyone does any research.

I’ve looked through the archive and unfortunately haven’t seen anything that resembles your tiller.

Being very vague and probably incorrect, but based on the colour the only thing that sort of springs to mind is an early Alko tiller.

Has anyone else got any ideas?

I was looking at the MERL site a few weeks ago and thought I should perhaps pay a visit. Having searched online archives I know that some of the documents and literature relating to tractors I have are held there so need to contact them at some point.

Look forward to reading about it in The Cultivator.

I’ve found some info on the old forum archive which may be of help regarding your lawn edger.
