    300 x 6 and 300 x 8, There are plenty of 300 x 6’s on Merry Tiller pneumatic drive wheels, there are some 300 X 8’s around new but they have weird tread patterns.
    Pictured are 300 x 6 MT wheels and tyres, they even used Monrotiller alloy rims in the early days…

    I will, this is the sort of thing we need to do. according to the advert 11,000 Simar 56’s were sold, there must be a few more about!

    Yes, that was a unique machine, good thing at least one has survived. I wonder if any more will appear?

    Drake & Fletcher: Knapsack sprayer is mine, I’ve got another on wheels…
    Wheelbarrow sprayer belongs to Alan Thacker who showed it at Newark….

    Now you come to mention it, at Chertsey last year George told Brian that his conversion was done the way British Anzani would have done the conversion. Picture shows one owned by Paul Chant, that one has two gearboxes…

    By the way – if you want tyres your friendly local bicycle shop should be able to get them, they are fitted to kiddies bikes….

    That young chap in the first photo is from 1968, bit of an attitude going on there!
    Man driving the Titan is probably a Wolseley sales manager, from 1966.
    Chap with the Tarpen Chain saw has a Polo neck he’s from April 1962
    Finally the saw bench operator looks like a customer trying out the saw bench from 1960…

    Yes, and they had an advantage, they used a ready made Ford 8Y gearbox, I’m sure they could have used a Ford clutch on the 4 wheeler as well. Ford would probably have supplied steering components as well, they were very good at supplying components to other manufacturers.
