vhgmcbuddyMemberThanks Ray, I have a spare 42″ deck rear discharge with good holders that I could fit right on the Wheel Horse. But seeing I don’t pick the grass up the 42″ side discharge blows it about better, so I had a look at it today and could swap the complete units over. I will see how the season goes.

vhgmcbuddyMemberDarren. re cutting cyclinders,on my 14 inch 59/60 the cyclinder is a lot heavier and better made than the 14 inch 64 with sif engine. the later gives me the impression cost cuts where made when the Suffolk engine came into service with atco. so my deduction is the lighter one which you have could be a replacement from a Suffolk due to damage pre you owning it.

vhgmcbuddyMemberDarren I would also be interested to see which box fits one of these mowers as my recently acquired ATCO 14″ is minus its box, they do pop up on you know where but I would like to get the right one somewhen…

vhgmcbuddyMemberSame here Alan, I have got a belt driven Barford Atom as well as a Merry Tiller, and as you say, they work well with driving the scythe with one belt, just wondered why Mayfield thought it needed two!

vhgmcbuddyMemberThat’s OK Ray, I can see your concerns. The photos are of the same holder, so it’s got a bad side and a good side. I thought it would hold but I’m not so sure now, the bearings are good with no play and it won’t be subject to any rough work. I will keep it checked.
