Thank you Charlie, so I just use my high grade sthil Oil, but to the ratio for the engine, ie 300 ml to 5 litres off petrol.

Not sure as to what will be the outcome paint wise but if it performs well under a good workout I may restore. what are the readers thoughts ?

On the strip down I found to my amazement that it had been working with what looked like pea soup both in the tank and carb. This had to go and a full clean out had me busy for 2 hours. Besides that a tray of leaves was also removed from the belt guard. once inside the air filter which was spotless I removed this to find that the carb was like new. This makes me think that the filter system is top notch.

This was clearly a professional gang,not content to break in the van but then go onto break in to our sheds.They then followed on to 5 other properties in the village who are also Landscape gardeners and bloody well cleared 2 of them out!
Now let me remember Mr Prime Minister! We are sending in the Military to help with the flooding in Somerset, so what about all the villages around which are also suffering,why is there not more Police working the graveyard shift! I was told there is only 3 working the Chard area,yes and it was not our villages turn on Wednesday night!
Funny tonight there is plenty activity,but then there always will be after the horse has bolted.All the BBC can say is there is looting in the flooded properties in Somerset,if that is not a call for every low life to get free pickings,I don’t know what is.
Just remember tools are not covered in vans nor out houses or in lock ups not owned.
So Mr Prime Minister when you are in your next Cobra Meeting with the Insurance Companies ask them about tool insurance but I think you will find the answer on the door of the Meeting room (Cobblers not Cobra)

andy I am another slipper wearer and I to have had things happen in the shed. the most appealing thing with them is the comfort factor which helps when under stressfull times or painfull times as you have found out.

This is a photo of the spindle holder with two coats of paint over the etch primmer, will take a photo end of season to see if it was worth doing.

oh andy dont say that, you make me feel guilty…… hope it gets better soon. i broke my little toe while wearing safety boots, the 1 toe that is not protected when wearing said “safety” boots

Hi David.
Just to make another option open to you. It may be worth getting a quote from cherished car insurance.
I think they’re competitive and have always been great to deal with for the last 10-15 years.
I have my mg6 and Gutbrod with them at the minute and the rest of the families vintage tractors are with them too.
