A great weekend as usual. I know it is advertised as a working weekend, it is really a club social get together with the option to work your machines if you want. So if you have not attended because you do not have a machine to work or do not want to work what you have then why not just come along to look and have a chat with fellow club members.
It certainly looks like a copy, badge engineering maybe? The JALO push hoe in th eUK copied Planet hoe tines and Planet tools would fit the JALO.
Before anyone else makes a comment, did you intend the photos to be upside down, it is going to tempt someone I am sure!!!!!
Excellent photos and description. I see the gearbox casing has the letters PRM cast into it; from my research going through the Geo Monro drawings at MERL PRM stands for Percy Riley Motors of Coventry. They carried out avariety of work for Geo Monro and some drawings have PRM on them, there is also a document detailing parts made by PRM, and others supplied by Geo Monro and finished by PRM.
No need for any change to forum/website as the facility exists.
If you go to your user details you can set the system to send you various notifications, one of which is when you have a new message. It is under ‘settings’ then ‘notifications’.
The need for RTA insurance came about due to changes in the Road Traffic Act. This made areas such as rally field a ‘public place’ and motor vehicles therefore need the correct insurance, you do not need vehicle to be registered nor do you need tax as it is not a highway.
Beware some insurance company staff are not fully aware of what is required and what is not eg registration number. You can insure using vehicle serial number, chassis number etc.
