Hi I have a Mayfield without an engine!
The Mayfield machine serial number is Z1113.
I am very interested in which engine model would have been fitted originally, and any others that might also fit.
The four mounting holes in the frame are spaced 10 1/4 inches apart length ways and 5 1/2 inches apart width ways. The engine mounting hole diameter is 3/8 ths of an inch. I have attached a couple of photos.
Any information would be appreciated, i guess i will also need a chain drive sprocket and belt drive pulley but sorting out which engine would be a good step forward.
    Many thanks.

Mayfields were fitted with various Villiers or Briggs & Stratton engines over the years. The Museum of English Rural LIfe (MERL) at Reading have a good collection of information about Mayfields, donated by VHGMC members.
