    Thanks for that chaps, very interesting. Would the Munro be George Munro who made the Munrotillers? My father was a sign writer who used to do some work for George Munro when we lived in Waltham Cross, a few hundred yards from Munro’s works.

    possible that the rings were to protect the soles of the feet. The blade looks quite thin

    I had trouble with a zz years ago and it seems the trouble was a slight oil leak from the crank seal which allowed oil onto the points. Might be worth checking. Good luck.

    One year i ran some ducks and chickens on the plot that was to be potatoes and slug damage was greatly reduced.

    It’s just what they were made for !! Hoping to get mine out this week, had a touch of blight so i leave the spuds in ’till all the blighted tubers have disappeared. Seems to work. I grow Sutton Foremost and they seem to be very prone to early dying off. Very tender tubers but I think they are the most flavoursome. Sure I’ll be corrected !!! :-))

    Or some road bands ? The wheel and tyres for the ploughmate and the anzani are like the proverbial hens teeth!!
