I had the same problem with tyres . I ended up buying 4-10 – 6
Moto Quad Bike on Ebay. 192817710560 . Not the same size as an original tyre .
However it fits and there is clearance if you fit the wheels on the wide setting.
I have always used the wide setting as most of my wheels have repair bolts with nuts.
Countersunk head of bolt to wheel hub. I went for this tyre to get the machine to work and not as an original show piece.
    Photo show clearances on a mk3 .

Hi, If you look at Scribd.com/doc/117878257/Villiers Mk15 pdf page 21. Looks like your carb, good breakdown drawing and parts list.

Hi, The on line book is 1962 at 2 shillings so is later.
The large general assembly picture of the engine shows the set screw as item 45. EM220 . It should not have changed.
See if your copy has that picture.

    Regards. Dave

Hi, The manual shows one other attachment. A countersunk screw at 11 o’clock looking rewards. I thought it would be visable in your photo , it should be hiding behind the LH end of the coil. Might require a right angle screwdriver.
    Good luck ,

    Regards. DaveT.
