Joe, will traffic for IAT at Fairford cause any travel problems for you?

Jim, I will be away from site on Saturday morning, back around 10:00am. I am taking part in an event celebrating 175 years of engineering history in Swindon my old Land Rover will be one of the many vehicles taking part.

The one with the B&S engine has got me stumped. Looks like Rowtrac wheels at the back, Rototiller 30, 5 and two 50’s.

I am planning to arrive around 2pm Friday to set up 4x10m marquee. Do you want me to bring a couple of tables Jim?

At last the rain has stopped and the sun is out, made good progress today and got the main roof timbers on.

I have ordered a 5L can. Wil report on its use when I have tried it. Something for The Cultivator.

That is a question often asked, I believe they are almost impossible to obtain new. Some Gunsmith owners have fitted 20″ wheels I think. Dave Dear has a contact for rims and tyres that give the same overall diameter as the 6:00×22, it does involve cutting the old wheel to fit them.

The carb on the 56 has no adjustment for mixture, two fixed jets, probably worn.

Sounds as if it is four stroking at times engine note changes from the usual two stroke sound to a harsher crack and sounds as if it has slowed down. My 56 does this.

To help protect the timber frame from damp I laid one course of bricks. Work is progressing, rain permitting and we now have framework for one side up.

Time for the concrete, but how to get approx 8 cubic metres of concrete from front of house to back garden without making dozens of trips with a wheelbarrow and before concrete sets? Luckily a local company will supply a small concrete pump, so that is how we did it. All concrete poured in no time at all, well worth the expense.

    Next was shuttering and reinforcing.
Whilst we had the mini digger on site it was used to dig a hole for the soakaway, you will see how much stone there is our ground once you get down 12″.

There have been some excellent topics on the forum that would make good magazine articles, so come on and share those topics with all club members, remember not all club members use the website. This will give Alan some very good material, all you need to do is send him the words and photos by e mail.
