charlieKeymasterThe one or two spammers we do get somehow manage to get through the anti spam protection and if not spotted by the moderators/admin team we rely on you the members telling us. We can then remove the post and block the spammer. As far as I know no risk to other members, unless you follow any of the links in the spam post then who knows where that will lead.

charlieKeymasterLooking through the information I have it does appear that steel wheels were available, so you could have one of each for your collection, all you need to do is find some.
The other thing that does not do tyres any good is leaving the weight of the machine on them for long periods. If possible raise the machine off the ground and support the weight on blocks, even more so if the tyres should go flat.May 27, 2014 at 8:54 am #8313

charlieKeymasterAt last I have gone through all the Fruit Grower magazines I have and compiles a list of the machinery and hand tool adverts which I have also scanned. A cd with copies of the adverts has been sent to Alan for use in The Cultivator where all members will be able to see them. Very few hand tools appear, machines advertised include Rototiller, Rowtrac, Auto-Culto, Bristol, British Holder, Ransomes, Trusty, RotehO, Planet and Gravely. Other adverts include Cooper Pegler, Four Oaks, Weeks and Drake & Fletcher.
One of the regular advertisers is Geo Monro with their range of horticultural supplies such as, fruit boxes, orchard heaters, tomato graders etc. They also advertise the fruit import side of their business at Covent Garden.May 25, 2014 at 8:19 am #8275
charlieKeymasterYes that is a tipping Barford trailer, my tipping front mounted barrow is in another shed along with the flat bed Barford trailer. Hens now have no teeth left!!! And we sold the rocking horse to Findus.

charlieKeymasterIn the photo of your engine there is a small bracket on cowling near exhaust, if you look at photo of engine on my 15 you will see throttle cable is attached to this bracket. As far as I know the cable on my 15 is original, your cable looks different and may not be the correct one.

charlieKeymasterThe new site does not currently have a calendar of events, the old site only listed some. All shows we are told about appear in The Cultivator magazine which is sent to all club members.
What area are you looking for shows?May 22, 2014 at 2:27 pm #8225
charlieKeymasterAs the magazine seems to have arrived with various members over a period of a week or so I have asked the printers if all are posted in one go. They confirm this is the case so any variation in delivery is due to Royal Mail not the printers.

charlieKeymasterI believe there are two versions of the 2 cylinder engine, looking at the literature I have for the type with a 360 degree crank and WICO type A 1483HZ magneto, the timing is 35 degree before top dead centre. Not sure if this would apply to other version with 180 degree crank.
