dodgy members/ spammers

i see we have another spammer, is there no way to stop this from happening? are we all at risk once we are logged in??? some clarification would be much appreciated

As far as I know, no risk to you at all.

The one or two spammers we do get somehow manage to get through the anti spam protection and if not spotted by the moderators/admin team we rely on you the members telling us. We can then remove the post and block the spammer. As far as I know no risk to other members, unless you follow any of the links in the spam post then who knows where that will lead.

The spammers are at it again in the machinery and main forum areas. The trial forum membership needs the captcha thingy on the application page.
