Dan, great to know you are helping spread the interest in garden machinery by putting on a large display, over the years we have had a number of club members in Australia. It is one of the great things about our hobby, you can load the trailer up and take a dozen or so machines.

Dan, what a great account of acquiring and collecting these machines, along with some good photos. We always like to see something different. The hauler is similar to UK machines such as Wrigley, Trac Grip and Bonser.

I think I have seen one or two of those come up on that auction site.

The Trusty came with a small approx 3″ x 4″ instruction manual. I do not have but believe there is a parts list. I am sure other forum members such as trusty220 will have one.

Club member David Pearce has one which he stills uses and brings along as an exhibit at Semington.

Handle bar mounting is different to the 700. Probably need an expert on Australian Howard models.

Act your shoe size not your age, I cant help it if I have small feet.

The threads will most likely be Whit and or BSF, not UNF, UNC or metric. UNC is close to Whit and UNC nuts may go on a Whit threaded bolt or stud but they will not be a correct fit.
