If it has the original JAP engine then it should be possible to get the year from the engine number. JAP used a letter to indicate year. See JAP engine numbering

That sounds about the right price, some dealers ask a lot more and the older ones also fetch more. Not so plentiful as they were, I guess VHGMC members have bought them all up.
It would be interesting to see how many years are covered by copies owned by club members, the 60’s seem almost complete, just 61, 64 and 69 missing.
