Those of you with long memories may remember that my Kohler engined Howard 200 died immediately after the Lotmead Farm working week-end. My tendency to always assume the worst had me thinking broken rods, slipped flywheels and all sorts of maladies.
I have at long last got round to looking at it and happy to report it is now running again. The points had closed up by about 10 thou.
I also took the opportunity to clean out a load of crud from the carb too.
So, no need to rush off and buy a replacement engine or engage in major surgery. All being well it will be put into service in the spring on the allotment and should be there at this year’s Lotmead Farm working week-end in July.
