This is a Shay with a Bux? engine. The HT lead was corroded and fell off leaving just this stub of stiff wire sticking out from the coil.
Has anyone come across this type before?
My question is, does the lead screw onto this stub in the same way some plug caps do or would it be soldered to the stub? -

Neil Jarrett, (ransomes256 on this forum) is the man for spares and information.
To start the engine yoiu need to pull out one of the two buttons on the rear of the clutch, engine may need turning over slowly to get it to engage. -
