MemberWell I am off to the Holsworthy Vintage Vehicle and Engine Rally in Devon this weekend with the VHGMC. We have got VHGM areas in several rallies in Cornwall this year I suppose we ought to advertise them.

ParticipantI am sorry to report strawberries and steam has come to an end. I did not know prior to the show but was told at our wash out meeting a few weeks after. Due to the shows growth and sucess new toilets would be required a modern beer tent rather than the old army tent more stewarts The list goes on and on.Anybody that helps produce a show will know the headache it can be and the main organisers are not in the first flush of youth so they have decided to stop on a high. We were thanked for all our hard work over the years. The size and quality of the show was down to people like yourselves So thanks again to all who supported us and i will let people know if anything changes.

KeymasterJim thanks for update, it seems the show became a victim of its own success. The old beer tent was all part of the attraction and feel of the show. Glad I went as a visitor this year and exhibited some years ago.

ParticipantI’d just like to second Charlies comments.
Despite being local, this year was the first year I had attended, and it was a cracking show.
I read about it being the last one in Vintage Spirit magazine last week, and it is a real shame. I much prefer the smaller local shows to the big commercial one.
Many Thanks to all who were involved in the show.Joe.
