Right this has turned up. Brought by a local lad & its a very interesting machine
Now until I give a bit more info away. Can anybody remember it??
We are going to need alot of help to ID the parts used to build it
Citroen 2 CV engine?
We want to know what engine this is Alan. Study the pic carefully & you will see that the 2 top cylinder bores are dummies making it look more beefy.
Its a flat twin engine which is mated to a gearbox which has brake discs on each side like you have on a crawler
Did the 2-CV ever have disc brakes, can only ever remember seeing them with drums?
Here’s a link…. http://www.citroenet.org.uk/passenger-cars/michelin/2cv/history/1971.html
The Dyane had disc brakes
Don’t forget the Cushman vehicles used a two cylinder air cooled flat twin as well. It is sometimes called the OMC engine and normally has a distributor sticking out of the top with the points in- much better than trying to get the flywheel off!
I don’t think you neighbours will be very pleased when you start mowing the lawn Chris!!!
Now this is when it worked!! Its the big one in the middle
You must remember this now.
Looks like its been in the stream for a while, a few bits are missing now
Sorry Chris its not mine but will be helping to some how get it going again The fuel tank & controls have been robbed for starters
Some more pics
Think Charlie & Alan are correct with the engine ID. Thanks
