New old rotavator

Hi all been on ebay and got a 1940s to 1950s
Clifford model A rotavator in good condition for age . with jap mk5 engine not used for years . i have cleaned out carb . and tryed with new petrol. Just getting back fire or blowing through carb pos stuck valve . but will take head off on monday. Odd thing is its got a hand throttle. Looks factory fitted
I will need some advice on engine at some point
